WKND is a high energy, non-stop weekend experience that is geared towards discipleship and built around small groups. These weekends are the best of what we do on a typical Wednesday (games, worship, teaching, small group discussion) happening from Friday evening through late Saturday Night.

We feel it is vital for your daughter/son to participate in an experience that is out of their normal routine and environment. This change from a normal rhythm can create space for God to speak. It is also a great time for small group leaders and other students to grow deeper in their relationships with each other. These types of bonds and relationships that are created have the potential to fuel our small groups during the normal school year.

Yes, middle school and high school students will attend the same WKND. All students will meet together at the COTC Franklin building (828 Murfreesboro Road Franklin, TN 37064).

Church of the City and City Students Small group leaders will not be hosting or facilitating any overnight experiences. If students and families want to do that of their own volition they are welcome to.

We work hard to make it as affordable as possible. Despite our best efforts, some expenses are unavoidable and that is what determines the prices we charge. Costs to put on WKND ‘24 include (but aren’t limited to): food, activities at the church, covering the costs of our volunteers, large group game supplies, A/V equipment, marketing/promotion, programming supplies, t-shirts, etc. 

You can actually do either! When registering your student, a $50 deposit is needed to hold your student’s spot. From there, you can choose to make the full payment or do split payments that will run until our WKND date. The balance must be paid in full before the day of the event. 

This event is treated like any other City Students experience (including retreats and camps), in that once they are here they stay for the entirety. We know that students will have the best experience when they are here for the whole time. If a student has a prior commitment we are asking that they either arrive late or leave early, but do not leave in the middle of the event. Discounts will not be given if your student(s) cannot attend the whole event.

For WKND ‘24 there are only two forms that need to be submitted.

Students are allowed to bring their phones, however City Students staff and volunteers will take them if they are becoming a distraction at the event.
