We’d love to have you join us!
Every COTC location uniquely reflects the community it serves and has its own lead pastor, worship team, staff, and volunteer teams. While each church is distinct, we remain in sync as a citywide family through the study of God’s Word, connecting to serve our city, and engagement with our missional partners.
When you arrive, you can expect a welcoming environment, passionate worship, strong contextual biblical teaching, and a community of people committed to living in the way of Jesus. We have ministries designed for preschool and elementary age children on Sunday mornings and middle and high school students every Wednesday evening. We look forward to serving your family!
When Derek heard about Church of the City and its impact on neighborhoods and families in Nashville, he and his family felt called to accept the invitation to serve the Spring Hill community. As campus pastor he loves Spring Hill’s sense of family and community.
He joined Church of the City’s staff in 2016 after serving in churches in Grand Rapids, Las Vegas and Detroit.
Derek grew up in Michigan and married his high school sweetheart, Courtney. They have 4 kids: Ava Grace, Bellamy, Hudson, and Micah. There’s no shortage of personality in their family…or laughter.
