Every COTC location uniquely reflects the community it serves and has its own lead pastor, worship team, staff, and volunteer teams. While each church is distinct, we remain in sync as a citywide family through the study of God’s Word, connecting to serve our city, and engagement with our missional partners.
When you arrive, you can expect a welcoming environment, passionate worship, strong contextual biblical teaching, and a community of people committed to living in the way of Jesus. We have ministries designed for preschool and elementary age children on Sunday mornings and middle and high school students every Wednesday evening. We look forward to serving your family!
Like many, Matt Smallbone migrated to live in Nashville. Unlike many, he moved here all the way from Australia. Matt met his wife, Mary, in the 11th grade, and they are the proud parents of four energetic kids: Isaac, Caleb, Jack & Eliana.
Matt is passionate about helping people reconnect with sincere, simple, and orthodox faith through spiritual apprenticeship and uncomplicate the way to fully engage the head, heart, and emotions in following Christ.
As an Enneagram 7, Matt is enthusiastic about many things, including (but not limited to) Thai food, good coffee, Fender Precision basses, basketball, and 90’s rock.
