What is Fostering Hope?
December 13 & 14 at COTC Spring Hill

Fostering Hope is an event held at our Spring Hill campus, designed to be an experience bringing dignity back to kids who come from difficult backgrounds. We create a toy store where parents can select 2-3 gifts for their kids alongside a large gift item that a child has specifically requested, provided by our congregation. They will also get to pick out a new blanket, a new set of PJs, and a family experience from which they can make a new, sweet memory. We will be serving approximately 190 families and anywhere between 800-900 children.

Help us make this event as fun and smooth as we can! Volunteer below by clicking the respective button.

As a church, we say “yes”.

“Yes” to permanence and belonging for children.
“Yes” to wrapping around these courageous kids and families.
“Yes” to fulfilling the very role God intended for the church.

We are not all called to foster or adopt. We are all called to care about vulnerable children. Through our Wrap Around ministry, Church of the City has the privilege of walking alongside foster families as they care and serve.

Current Foster Families

Whether new to COTC or new to the community, we would love to get to know you! Introduce us to your family and get connected with support and encouragement opportunities by completing the form below.

Help a Foster Family

Provide a Meal – Build a relationship with a foster family and help them relieve some stress. Take a meal to the same family once a month.

Laundry Support – Pick up a family’s laundry! Wash their clothes, fold, and return items to their home.

Relief Care – Provide care for children to create space for a date night or alone time for the parents. This opportunity will require additional training.

Wrap Around Closet

Foster families are invited to come and shop at no cost for all the children in their care. We have two open houses a year (Spring and Fall). The Closet is located at COTC Spring Hill. Our on-call team takes shopping appointments 7 days a week, and can be reached by calling (931) 215-3764.

The offices at COTC Spring Hill are open Monday-Thursday from 9am-2pm. Donations can be dropped off here as well.
If you would like to donate, you may purchase items from our Purposity wishlist or you can drop items off during the following days/times:

Mondays 2pm-4pm
Wednesdays 10am-2pm
Thursdays 9:30am-11am

Additional Support for All Foster Families

Foster Support Group

Wrap Around invites you to “Foster Together” - a weekly support gathering for foster families. Join us for honest conversation, laughter, prayer and encouragement from other parents who have been where you are! Foster parenting is hard, but it does not have to be lonely.

Hearts Together

Hearts Together is a support group for adoptive moms, founded by Rainer Lowman. Rainer is a mom of two biological children, and mom of three more through international adoption. She desires to encourage other adoptive moms by sharing wisdom and experiences. This group meets once a month at Rainer’s home in Franklin. Satellite groups also meet in the greater Nashville area including Dickson, Murfreesboro, and Mt. Juliet. To learn more, contact Rainer by clicking below.
