People in our immediate community struggle every day to keep their lives in balance. A car serves to get you to work, the grocery store, the doctor, and in various other life needs. Generally, it serves to keep a family moving forward. For one-car families struggling to make ends meet, the loss of a car can be devastating. Our CARS ministry was created to provide these families with reliable transportation that can help provide financial stability and safety.
Donate a Car
Donating is easy! We accept cars, trucks, and vans preferably in working condition. If you have a vehicle that is not running, however, please contact us still with the details. You are provided with a written acknowledgement of your donation for tax purposes. For safety, donated vehicles are repaired, test driven and inspected prior to being given. Depending on the condition, some vehicles are salvaged or sold. Any resulting proceeds go directly to our CARS ministry! We are always in need of more donations - click below to get started.
Need
The main goal of the CARS ministry is to help a family or individual move forward. For some, a major barrier to becoming established is lack of transportation to and from work. To qualify to be a potential recipient of a donation, individuals must hold a valid TN driver’s license, TN residence, and employment or promise of employment. Volunteer
CARS relies on staff leaders and a capable volunteer team to navigate the needs of the ministry. Diagnostics and major repairs are contracted out to our professional partners, with help from volunteers for light repairs and cleanings. Our benevolence team conducts applicant qualification interviews, determining which applicants receive vehicles. To volunteer, click below to email us.
