We are not all called to foster or adopt, we are all called to care about vulnerable children.
Church of the City has the privilege to walk alongside foster families during the time God calls them to be foster families. As a church we say:
“YES” TO PERMANENCE AND BELONGING FOR CHILDREN;
“YES” TO WRAPPING AROUND THESE COURAGEOUS KIDS AND FAMILIES;
“YES” TO FULFILLING THE VERY ROLE GOD INTENDED FOR THE CHURCH.
If you have wondered whether you may be interested in opening your home to children to become a foster parent or would like more information about this process, we have the resources for you! One of our missional partners, Tennessee Kids Belong, provides all the necessary information you need to get started on this journey. Click below to learn more!
Whether you’ve been around COTC for a while as a foster or adoptive family, or if you’re new to our community, we would love to get to know you. Please help by completing the form below. This will also allow us to share opportunities and gatherings at COTC designed to support and encourage foster and adoptive families.
Laundry Support – Help the family by picking up their laundry, washing their clothes, folding, & returning it to their home.
Grocery Shopping & Running Errands – Give back some time to a family by helping with their grocery shopping and errands.
Relief Care – Give families and parents relief by providing care for children to allow parents the opportunity for a date night or alone time. This opportunity will require additional training.
The Wrap Around Closet serves families and children in the foster care system with tangible items at no cost so the families can concentrate on the emotional needs of each child.
