The experience of dating must be one of the more complicated mental and theological challenges for practicing the way of Jesus. Namely, Jesus didn’t date, dating wasn’t part of the culture in Biblical times, and nothing in Scripture specifically mentions dating. Yet it’s part of our culture and our lives, so we must pursue a faithful and theological approach to dating. Our hope at COTC is to equip people for dating not with a list of DOs and DON’Ts, rather with a vision for maturity in spirit and practice.
On Dec 4 at 5PM, we will building a framework for faithfulness to Christ in the midst of dating. With that, we will have opportunities to breakdown unhelpful expectations, navigate current cultural trends, and build a hope-filled vision for Christians and dating.
*Participants are not required to be in a dating relationship in order to attend with or without a significant other.
