In a city that loves sharing food and being with community, COTC Downtown will be serving our neighbors and Missional Partners all throughout 2024 by serving meals, planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables, and delivering lunches to our neighbors in need. Once a month, we will be hosting a Serve Day with a different Missional Partner or local non-profit organization. These serve days will vary in time, day of the week, and activity to make them accessible to everyone wanting to serve our city in a tangible way!
On Saturday, February 10th, from 10:30am to 12:30pm, COTC Downtown will be volunteering with our Missional Partner, Dream Streets to rescue and distribute food in the North Nashville area of the city!
The neighborhoods Dream Streets serve are located in a food desert. This means they have limited access to affordable and high-quality fresh food. To combat this need, they partner with local grocery stores to rescue fresh food and distribute it to communities in North Nashville through our Mobile Food Sites.
IMPORTANT: Dream Streets require background checks for all adults 18 and older before serving with them. A link will be sent to you the week before serving.
