During our time together, students will participate in large group sessions with games, teaching, and worship – as well as spend time with their small groups. Summer camp consists of a great opportunity to deepen your relationship with God, as well as other students. We hope that you consider joining us this year!

FAQs

What is Summer Camp?

Summer Camp is a high energy, non-stop experience. Camp is the best of what we do on a typical Wednesday (games, worship, teaching, small group discussion) happening all day, along with special experiences like lake time, white water rafting, a water park, and zipline.

Why should my son/daughter register?

We feel it is vital for your son / daughter to leave the comforts of home and participate in an experience that is out of their normal routine and environment. This change from a normal rhythm can create space for God to speak and students to hear in ways that may not be achievable elsewhere. It is also a great time for small group leaders and other students to grow deeper in their relationships with each other. These types of bonds and relationships created at summer camp have the potential to fuel our small groups during the normal school year.

Why is Summer Camp being held at Adventure Ocoee?

Adventure Ocoee (186 Hawkins Drive Ocoee, Tennessee 37361) has lots of awesome activities to choose from: white water rafting, zip-lining, water park, crazy lake, ropes course, etc. Plus, it’s just far enough away to feel like you are getting away and “roughing it,” but close enough to help keep transportation costs low.

What ages are able to attend?

Students will attend as the grade they will be going into for the August 2022-2023 school year.

  • Middle School: Rising 6th graders through rising 8th graders.
  • High school: Rising 9th graders through graduated seniors.
What does the cost of registration cover?

We realize the cost of camp is significant, but we work hard to make it as affordable as possible. Despite our best efforts, some expenses are unavoidable and that is what determines the prices we charge.

Costs to put on camp include (but aren’t limited to): charter buses to/from location, food, lodging, activities at the camp, covering the costs of our volunteers, large group game supplies, A/V equipment, marketing/promotion, rental vehicles to transport supplies, programming supplies, t-shirts, etc.

*We are using a registration platform called Active Networks that makes the registration process extremely seamless. However, with each registration there is a $5.95 fee that will be charged to utilize this platform.

Some exciting features this platform includes are:

  • Registering multiple students at a time from one link.
  • Distinct registration links for each church location.
  • Selecting a payment plan based on your family’s financial needs.
  • Automatic withdrawals of payments.
  • The ability to log in and see your balance.
Do I have to pay in full or can I make payments toward the registration cost?

You can actually do either! When registering your student, a $50 deposit is needed to hold your student’s spot. From there, you can choose to make the full payment or select a payment plan that will run until our camp departure date. We just ask that the balance be paid in full by the day of summer camp.

What forms need to be turned in?

For our summer camp, there are 3 forms that are required to attend: the City Students General Release form, the AO (Adventure Ocoee) Waiver and the NOC Rafting Waiver (for 12 & older only). These are now all a part of our online registration process. When you register your student online you will be prompted to include your name for these waivers.

Can my student bring their cell phone to Summer Camp?

We ask that students leave their phone/technology at home. Our hope is that summer camp is a place where your student can unplug from their normal routine and create a special space for God to show up. The opportunity to silence all the noise creates a chance for meaningful connection to happen with other students, leaders and staff. Our policy is that if we see a student on their phone we reserve the right to take their phone for the remainder of camp.

How do I contact my student at camp if there is an emergency?

Due to very limited cell service, you can call the camp phone at (423) 338-9575 and someone from our City Students Staff Team will be notified immediately. Utilizing the emails below is also a great option. We will be checking our emails frequently.

What time is check-in & arrival?
